CMM Calibration

OMNI-TECH has held and maintains accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 & ANSI-NCSL Z540-1994 accredited by American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) since 2000.

Calibration Procedure

ASME B89.4.1:1997 consists of As Found and As Left data from either the Linear Laser, Gage Blocks, Ballbar, Squareness, Granite Square, Probe Repeatability and Ballbar Volumetric are reported on a certificate issued on site.

Omni-Tech will perform ISO 10360-2 and ISO 10360-5 calibrations on customers CMM with AS Found and AS Left reporting. Calibration procedure includes a set of five calibrated Gage blocks used to verify the manufacturer or customer’s provided MPEe specification. Measurements will be taken in seven different locations (position and direction) within the CMM’s measuring volume. For each of the seven locations, the length of each of the five Gage blocks is measured three times for a total of 105 measurements and results will be reported on calibration a certificate.

Calibration procedure for ISO 10360-5 includes a calibrated sphere will be measured with 25 equally spaced points to verify the manufacturer or customer’s provided specification for MPEp the results will be report on a calibration certificate.

Our Calibration Services Include

Laser Interferometer

Omni-Tech technicians are accredited to use a Laser Interferometer to check Linear Accuracy, Straightness and Angularity checks on CMMs to adjust and certify your CMM accuracy.

B89 Ballbar

Omni-Tech technicians are accredited to use a Ballbar to check Squareness and Volumetric accuracy of CMMs in accordance with ASME B89.4.1:1997

Gage Blocks

Omni-Tech technicians are ISO 17025:2017 accredited to use Gage Blocks per ISO 103602-2 to perform complete calibrations including Linear Accuracy and Volumetric Accuracy to certify your CMM.

Your CMM machine will be certified, adjusted and calibrated by our highly trained qualified technicians. All calibration equipment is calibrated and traceable to NIST.
